Sign The Petition to Stop The Death Penalty for Homosexuality in Uganda

For those unfamiliar with the story, The Ugandan Parliament is considering passing legislation to institute a death penalty for homosexuality. Homosexuality is against the law in Uganda, similar to many countries in East Africa, but the death penalty is new extreme. What's even more sickening is the initiative was proposed and provoked by a right-wing American lobbying organization. It's bad enough that people in The United States are willing to espouse such radically homophobic extremist views, but the idea that these dementedly sadistic people would go to such extremes to see to it that legislation is passed in foreign countries is downright horrifying. Where do people get off pushing their views on foreign cultures and societies? What do they really stand to gain from all of this? When people go to such extremes it makes me embarrassed to be an American.

What can you do to put a stop to this? Unfortunately not that much (don't let me speak for you, if you have the power to make a difference please prove me wrong), but you can SIGN THIS PETITION. At least then you can say you made your opinion known and you spoke out against what's wrong.
